Mark Johnson

 Mark Johnson

According to Mark's Mother, Mark has always been a water baby. Obsessed with the sea, boats, yachts and ships of all descriptions. This starting from the tender age of one.

In his 30s he water ski’d regularly at Bridlington, then moved his boat to Lake Windermere.  Mark was also learning to sail at the same time, and indeed qualified as an open water diver.  He did his Day Skipper Practical with BOSS (British Offshore Sailing School) in the Solent area, about 20 years ago.

In his mid 40’s he bought a Jeanneau 32’ Yacht on Windermere.  After about three years he moved it to Plymouth as he felt he wasn’t using his seamanship skills.  Mark then  went on to purchase a Jeanneau 40’  and over the past four years has sailed to the Channel Islands, the Isles of Scilly, and indeed the Isle of Wight only last year.

Mentors and Heroes would include Lord Nelson, Sir Francis Chichester, Dame Ellen MacArthur, Alex Thompson, and Sir Ben Ainslie.  He also applauds sailors with various disabilities.

Mark  looks forward to meeting you .
