Social Activities

Whilst YCTC is a great place to learn, one of its key strengths is the social activities available to members.

Being able to share experiences, support the development of other members, and gain valuable knowledge in a social setting is what makes YCTC the place to be, long after your shorebased courses are complete.

With a busy SOCIAL CALENDAR, MONTHLY MEETINGS and the opportunity to join other members on CLUB TRIPS, there really is something for everyone at YCTC.

YCTC members stay connected throughout the year by holding monthly social meetings. These are held on the first Wednesday evening of every month from 19:30, currently at The Winning Post, Bishopthorpe Road, York YO23 1NZ.
Monthly social meetings are an opportunity to meet other YCTC members over a drink and perhaps to form lifelong friendships. A good opportunity to gain or share crewing opportunities, hear the latest sailing news and, with a number of guest speakers joining us from organisations such as the RNLI, Coast Guard and other sailing groups, an interesting and pleasant way to spend a few hours.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, all social meetings are held via Zoom.

Social Calendar

The YCTC Social Calendar gives details of upcoming courses, social events and activities including our annual Christmas Party, AGM, guest speakers and all YCTC-related activities.
